Sisters in School started as a small pilot project which took place in Strathroy, from January to June 2005. The program involved ten teenage girls aged 17-18, who were matched one-to-one with girls in grades 1-4. The mentorship program took place in the classroom, helping girls build self-esteem through assisting her with her schoolwork. In September 2008 this program will extended into three schools in the Strathroy area and will run the whole school year until June 2009.
