Maybe Big Sistering isn’t what you had in mind? That’s ok! There are other ways to be involved that are just as fun and rewarding.
Matches Making Memories is a fun committee, young at heart that provides fun programming for our matched Big and Little Sisters to participate in.
They organize, plan, and carry out a variety of different
activities that take place twice a month.
The activities are of little or no expense to the Big and Little
Sister to coincide with our low cost/no cost policy.
We are in need of a few dependable and fun volunteers who
are willing to dedicate their time to this program.
Our matches depend on this programming September through June
for fun things to do together.
From Yoga nights to Karaoke Parties, Scavenger Hunts to Makeover Madness, Laser Tag and Jewellery Making – this committee does it all!
We ask that volunteers make a commitment of at least one year to
this committee (Sept. – June) and we would be thrilled with someone who was interested
in the possibility of long term involvement with this wonderful program.

Daytrippers are very valuable volunteers who are able to fill in when they are needed.
If a girl on the waiting list needs a ride and a friend to attend an outing, if a Big Sister can’t attend an activity and Little Sister would really like to go, or if we need more hands on the day of an event or program, The Daytripper is there.
For this volunteer role, we ask a minimum six month commitment and a vehicle is preferred but not mandatory.

Our Special Events Committee plans two major events every year.
The Holiday Party and the Summer BBQ give Big and Little Sisters a chance to celebrate their friendship and meet other matches.
Volunteers organize, plan and carry out the two events from Sept – Dec and Feb – June.
Members are asked to commit to a year. They attend monthly planning meetings and are there the day of the event.

Special Event Fundraising Committees
Our Snow Volleyball Committee plans our annual Snow Volleyball event which takes place in January each year.
Our
Golf Committee plans our golf event each September. Our
Gala Committee plans our gala evening each May.
Committee members get involved in obtaining teams, finding sponsors and prize donors, organizing food and setting up on the day of the event.
Committee meetings take place once a month starting 6 months before the event date.
